Dear WHC National Presidents,Masters,Referees,Members

The COVID-19 pandemic has been impacting the whole world and radically challenging our way of life, and we hope you, your family and friends are safe and healthy.

Under these circumstances, we are aware of the many challenges everyone is facing and we recognise the passion and resourcefulness of the Hapkido Masters people that make the Global Hapkido Sport for All Movement, as they design innovative ways including (Hapkido online education,planing for stay to home and Hapkido activity and etc.) to continue supporting their Hapkido martial arts community through the pandemic.

The Executive Committee of the WHC sincerely thank these innovators. We must remember the pandemic represents a milestone in the history of humankind; an opportunity for a change of paradigm.

During this time However, the sport sector has been heavily impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak; events are cancelled or postponed, sport facilities are closed, coaches and volunteers are homebound, and many grassroots organisations are struggling to survive. We must ensure the movement Hapkido trainnig at home gets the recognition and support it deserves and empower it to be part of the solution.

The WHC executive committee and education departmant is also still active and has held an online meeting each month, the WHC Office is reflecting on the possibility to organise online Technical,Coaching and Referee courses and Degree promotion test in Hapkido.During these trying times, unity and solidarity are essential, and WHC stands together with its members to overcome the crisis. We are open to any contributions and ideas from our members. Together, we are stronger!

We all hope that this epidemic will end soon and that we will witness a world full of peace and friendship through the international language of sport.
